The first joint reverse auction for renewable energy will take place on 15 April, which will allow investors to participate in wind parks as well as photovoltaics, according to\u00a0a decision of\u00a0yesterday Feb. 25th<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0of the\u00a0Regulatory Authority for Energy of Greece (RAE)<\/a>.<\/p>\n

This competition concerns an increased auction power of 600 MW, while the level of competition, that is to say the rate at which the investment interest should exceed the auctioned power, was reduced compared to the previous tenders, which was set at 40% .<\/p>\n

In particular, according to\u00a0RAE's decision<\/a>, the closing date for the submission of applications by investors is 21st March 2019 and the online auction will be on April 15th.<\/p>\n

The maximum allowable FIT - Feed In Tariff for the common competitive procedure (reverse auction) is EUR 64.72 \/ MWh.<\/p>\n

The participation percentage must be at least 40%\u00a0more\u00a0<\/strong>than the auctioned power. This percentage is set in order to ensure competition in the competition.<\/p>\n

The contest is aimed at\u00a0large projects<\/strong>, as well as in those that have entered into a fast licensing process. These are the following categories of projects<\/a>:<\/p>\n

Wind power plants<\/strong>\u00a0with a maximum output power of more than 50 MW<\/p>\n

Photovoltaic-Solar power plants<\/strong>\u00a0with an installed capacity of more than 20MW<\/p>\n

Assemblies of at least two wind farms<\/strong>\u00a0with a common point of connection to the system or the maximum output of more than 50 MW<\/p>\n

Assemblies of at least two solar- photovoltaic stations<\/strong>\u00a0having a common point of connection to the system or the installed capacity of more than 20MW<\/p>\n

Assemblies of at least one wind farm and one solar-photovoltaic plant\u00a0<\/strong>having a common point of connection to the system or the network with a maximum output power greater than 50 MW<\/p>\n

Solar-Photovoltaic stations<\/strong>\u00a0that have been included in the\u00a0Rapid Licensing Process or Strategic Investment Process<\/strong>, whether or not a common point of connection to the system or network, with a total installed capacity of more than 20MW.<\/p>\n
