The installation of a Solar PV system with a capacity of 10 kW and a 10 kWh battery, combined with the net metering program of the Hellenic Distribution Network Operator (HEDNO), offers substantial economic and environmental benefits.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Net metering allows you to \"store\" the surplus energy produced by your Solar PV system in the grid when production exceeds your consumption (e.g., during midday hours). This energy is offset against your consumption when production is lower (e.g., at night). This way, you reduce your electricity bills and increase your energy self-sufficiency.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The addition of the 10 kWh battery significantly enhances the efficiency of the system. Instead of sending all surplus energy to the grid immediately, the battery temporarily stores the energy and returns it to the grid during low-demand hours. This makes it easier for the Hellenic Electricity Distribution Company (HEDNO), avoiding overloading the grid during peak hours and making it more likely that your installation will be approved and accepted.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In Central Macedonia, a 10 kW system produces about 14,000 kWh annually. If your household consumption is 10,000 kWh per year, the 4,000 kWh of surplus energy can be stored either in the battery or in the grid through net metering. By using the battery, this energy is supplied to the grid during low demand hours, facilitating the balancing of the system.<\/p>\n
